Which one to pick

Text-heavy layouts carry more of the joke but shrink the artwork. Plainer versions read faster across a room and photograph better. Buying as a gift and cannot ask? Take the plainest one.

Who it is for

This line only works when the piano interest is real and specific enough that outsiders genuinely do not follow it. That is the joke: it claims membership rather than explaining anything.

Two instruments sharing one name

An acoustic piano and a digital keyboard are played the same way and owned for completely different reasons — one is furniture that has to be tuned and moved by professionals, the other goes in a car boot. Pianists usually have strong feelings about which they learned on.

The practice is solitary in a way most instruments are not. Nobody forms a band around a piano at fourteen, so the hours are spent alone with a metronome and a piece that is not going well.

Grades are the shared language among people taught in the British system, and the number gets mentioned the way a chess rating does. Anyone who stopped at Grade 5 will tell you exactly why.

Sizing and ordering

  • Unisex tees run true to size — size up one for a relaxed fit.
  • Allow two to three weeks. Each shirt is printed after you order, so production time comes before shipping time.
  • Checkout happens on the print partner's site — SunFrog handles printing, payment and delivery.

If it is not quite the right subject

The wording only works when it names the exact subject, so it is worth checking before you buy. Dragon, Halloween and Pineapple each have their own page with their own designs, and there are more below.
